Welcome to my blog, there will be nothing but movie reviews and film related content here. I try and review a wide variety of films, from old to new, and throw in film reviews from the current year as well. All comments are appreciated here, I will reply as soon as possible, and feel free to follow!

A new idea, any thoughts?

Well, as much as I love reviewing movies, I try to keep up a pace of reviewing one about every day or so, and now I am swamped. More importantly than that, it gets boring, honestly, and I think it is for the few who read this blog as well. So I thought I would try something new. Breaking down a particular scene in a movie, one that I love, and say why I think it is such a great scene. It will be fun and remove a lot of pressure!

Please comment and give me your opinion!

  1. I know how you feel. Reviewing films on a regular basis can get difficult if not boring .So mix it up. I included film related books I've read and other things like that just to keep myself interested more than any readers. Ultimately it is your blog and expressions so do what is right for yourself.

  2. At the moment you have equal followers to me and yeah reviewing everyday gets repetitive. That seems like a fun idea and you could call it "Scene analysis" Try and get a review up every 2-3 days and you should be fine.

  3. Review films when you want. Not because you have too. In fact, if you don't feel like a long review, write a short one. Its practise because film critics working for professional publications have world limits. Set yourself a task, for example review a film with a word limit of 200 words or less.

  9. Great idea, be different, mix it up and post whatever you feel like Matt.
There are so many blogs that post constant film reviews and they are all mind numbingly boring.
I'll look forward to reading what you come up with.

  11. I like the idea a lot. there are so many scenes that go unmentioned/underappreciated.

I've noticed the same for my page in that this year I have done less reviews than last year.

Be bold! Keep the segment going. Find what works!!
