Quarterfinals, Greatest Actors in History

Well, now we are down to the top eight actors in history. I must admit last round had quite a shocking result for me. Anthony Hopkins easily won over Tom Hanks. I am familiar with both actors and quite frankly I don't think Hopkins is in the same league. But hey! Votes are votes right? If this were all about my opinion then I would have just made a list! And I know I have already said this, but if there are any ties, the winner is the person with the highest number of votes in previous rounds.

(20) Robert De Niro vs Al Pacino (15)

(15) Clint Eastwood vs. Anthony Hopkins (14)

(14) Jack Nicholson vs. Daniel Day-Lewis (15)

(18) James Stewart vs. Marlon Brando (13)

Second Round Results:

De Niro over Plummer (9-0)

Nicholson over Freeman (5-4)

Brando over Gosling (7-2)

Stewart over Norton (7-2)

Pacino over Bogart (6-3)

Day-Lewis over Hoffman (6-3)

Eastwood over Newman (6-2)

Hopkins over Hanks (7-2)

  1. De Niro, Eastwood, Day-Lewis, Stewart. Yeah, this is getting tough!

  2. Eastwood over Newman should be more of a shock!! I like Eastwood but Newman was far the superior actor.

Here I'd go De Niro, Hopkins, Lewis, Stewart.

  3. This is getting difficult! Gonna have to go De Niro, Day-Lewis (I will never forget his "I drink your milkshake!"), Hopkins and good 'ol Jimmy Stewart!

  11. Poll is now closed! We have one tie, Nicholson and Day-Lewis, which by the total of one vote in previous rounds Day-Lewis is the winner!
